Whole30 Wholehearted

By LVA

Black coffee doesn’t suit me well
Dark & murky
Twisted with bitterness
I long for blue skies
Lush grass
Sunny days
& clouds of cream
Sweetening the past
With a silver spoon stir
Swirling to forget
With each clink
Everything lost
Pain endured
Heart broken
Again
It’s not my first attempt
I’ve had so many now
Black coffee doesn’t suit me well
& yet I will try again
