even then, it means nothing
some people might apply meaning to the words
they read on the page
they might make meaning of the letters strung together
like glittering stars strung across a sky
like outdoor lights strung across an outdoor patio with a grill and a kiddie pool
like a happy birthday sign strung from the left side of a door to the right in front of an entryway
they might make meaning of those letters on the page
like we make meaning from most everything we see
and still, everything is a white page
it means nothing
until we give it meaning
we decide what glittering stars mean to us
or outdoor lights, a patio, grill, and kiddie pool
or a happy birthday sign in the entryway
we give it meaning
and so it becomes significant
to us
and that’s something
just like this white page with some letters strung together
