Until The End

By LVA

only bringing my heart

i bring that to everything

and it’s gonna be brilliant

she said to herself

it was, fact

actually better than

more like magic

inexplicable

in one breath

before pandemic

they met, where

the wild meet

before the feeding

frenzy

there’s a calm

an opened door

a wrong seat appropriated

A brush on the hand

that hand

the one

it moves across her body

so well now

like the moment

happened years ago

not weeks

previous to

the silence in the shops

the distancing in the streets

the closing of the country

and still

they are closer

than before it all

which was yesterday

she’s always said

until then

forever she’s said it

until then to him

and the other

and all of them

she knows better, silly

it doesn’t last

life is

brief

a breath in

a breath out

a chance

a small walk

to the river and back

then it’s over

until then is a fair

and a good thing to say

it’s always been

until now

when all she really wants

to say is

until the end
