About 90 minutes west of the twin cities there is this beautiful, pristine lake. Sugar lake is a sweet and special spot. The water is cool and clear.
The cabins off the shore are far apart so the overcrowded-might as well be in the city-kind of feeling you get at a lot of Minnesota lakes is refreshingly absent.
The best part about this lake is my yearly day trip there with my swim swans. I have been teaching my silver haired beauties for over 6 years now. They rock out the best years of their lives; the youngest swan is 74 and they range to 95 years young.
Every summer we head up to Marilyn’s cabin and chat/boat/chat some more/eat & drink/then more chatting. This lake is beautiful but the memories I have built going out there each summer is the cherry on the “spoon”.
