This promote your love post starts with a story, an adventure, a realization.
I drove to Chicago last Sunday to apply for my Brazil visa in person. I am fighting in Brazil in 3 weeks and was required to actually appear at the Brazilian consulate to procure my visa stamp. My sis Kelley came with me and since we were only spending one night I wanted to save some cash and booked us a room at a hostel (bad idea). In the A.M. we were served more bad news (the hostel was the first bad news).
(second set of bad news)The consulate was closed for veteran’s day.
No way were we hostel bound again. Instead we booked at room at a hotel in downtown Chicago. Kelley missed her kids, I missed being able to train at my gym, but we made the most of it. We had a great time in Chicago however we were slightly giddy when we shot out of town on Tuesday morning towards Minneapolis.
I remember feeling a similar giddiness when I moved back to Minneapolis after living in Las Vegas and boxing for 3 years. It was so good to “get back home”. Even after 3 years, I still considered Minneapolis my home.
I love Minneapolis. Even more than that, I love my home in Minneapolis. Shortly after moving back I was looking to buy my own place. There is really nothing quite so daunting and thrilling at the same time as looking to buy a house.
My dear friend Laurie Allen entered the picture and helped me find the sweetest condo in south Minneapolis right near the falls.
Another giddy moment. There is something about your own “home sweet home” that gets you warm and fuzzy inside and also tingly and excited.
I loved living in my condo and still own it and rent it out (sentimental about that happy place). Now I reside with my hubby in our cute little house with 3 cats. And it is home. We often talk about moving locations but never moving out of Minneapolis.
When we do move, I can’t wait to connect with Laurie again.
As a realtor her presence within your excitement of finding a new home is calm and confident. She somehow has the exact vision of what will be right for you and busts it out to find the perfect place you’ll adore + working 24/7 to get a great price on your home when you are selling. She is detail oriented, thoughtful, and attentive to your needs and desires. Love her? Adore her? YES!
I’ll be thinking of home while I am in Brazil fighting I am sure, and I have much thanks to Laurie Allen Group who not only has helped me find the perfect home in Minneapolis, but also has sponsored me on my Brazil journey.
I hope the next time you think of setting up your welcome mat in Minneapolis or selling your welcome mat in Minneapolis, you will check Laurie Allen Group out.
She’ll be your realtor for life! Tell her I said “hi!”
All My Love, LVA-
