Hey lovelies, First and foremost…this is an explicit playlist. Just take notice and if some 4 letter words aren’t your thing then peace out on this one and don’t listen. But for sure keep reading because I don’t use any of them in this post.
Last month I started this micro bucket list thing. You can read about my first ever list here.
I had a blast doing it. Like, it fired me up in the best way. Why on earth would you wait to do things you want to do? Some things might take planning and time but there are other things that you can easily make happen in a month and be completely alive doing them.
I like how my life intersects in so many ways. After I wrote my recap from July, it took me right into this playlist.
SINGING AT STOP SIGNS AND STOP LIGHTS (#MBLS)
I wanted to spend more time jamming to music. Learning lyrics and singing them out loud. I began using IG stories to film some of these moments. Mostly I found that rather than passively listening to music I really pay attention to the words and what they mean. YOU KNOW….I LOVE WORDS!
TAKE A SPONTENOUS TRIP (#MBLS)
I used this playlist to crush my trip to Portland with a bestie. Like packing, light rail to the airport, walking through the city, this music was my movie montage for an amazing summer adventure. Stay tuned for the post all about it coming up next…
WHY YOU NEED YOUR OWN PLAYLIST AND MICRO BUCKET LIST
Everyone deserves their own soundtrack. Why not create your own? You can live your own movie. Fast forward through the hard stuff with some killer lyrics. Slow dance through the awesome stuff with beautiful melodies. Pause all of it with some classical tunes. You’re gonna live this life, why not have your own personal soundtrack to accompany it? And better yet, why not have multiple soundtracks.
You know that thing happens when you hear a song and it brings up all the memories from a time in your life.
Co-create that shiz.
Make your own intentional music to match where you are. Something I know for sure, music is healing. It has massive benefits to your body, mind, spirit. So CHOOSE your music and your grooves to FP yourself into an amazing life.
A few of my favorites from this playlist:
Psychopath- Charlotte Lawerence
“I’m not gonna swoon”. Right on girl. I’m not bitter. I just don’t need your love, I don’t need your cash, I don’t need your sh**. Take it back. I’m not a psychopath cuz I don’t need a guy in my life. I’m proudly independent. Also the melody on this song slayed me.
Perfect Storm- Tristan Prettyman
This song was my favorite to listen to on my trip to Portland. Truly I was visiting with a bestie not a lover. But it feels like home to see her, and it had been waaaaayyyyy to long. “We fill our cups with anything and it’s sweet”. I’m so blessed to have beautiful gals in my life and all of them feel like home. I’d happily get free and pack my things to go anywhere to get away with them.
New Rules- Dua Lipa
I’m a single gal. Having rules is always a good idea. I might not have more to say on this one other than… I jumped off my first bridge ever with this song in my head. So there’s that.
The theme of this playlist is ‘Take it on’. Design a micro bucket list and create your own life soundtrack. If you need a little time to figure out your own jams feel free to rock out to this list. I crushed my #mbls (micro bucket list) for the month and learned all the lyrics to the songs along the way.
One thing I’ll say, you have a world of music available to live your life to so turn it up and turn yourself on. Make your life an Oscar winning movie and and take that damn trophy for yourself. It’s your life and only you can win it.
xx, Lisa-
