Love In The Time Of Corona: Part Three

By LVA

PART THREE:

On Bumble this shows up as a “BOOM” you’re connected.

She looked at it. Knowing it was up to her to actually make the first move. She needed to be the one to write a message first. Her heart rang in her ears.

She wasn’t really sure why it felt important to write the perfect thing. In the past she always wrote whatever came to her mind but this time she went back and perused his profile and pictures before sending a message.

She felt like she wanted to get it right.

His profile was vague. The pictures drew her in first, no surprise. Strong facial features. A beard. Pics being active. Not many words but he mentioned ‘dad’ jokes and this gave her an idea.

She set her phone down and turned off the water in the tub. Sliding one leg into the hot water, and waiting to acclimate to it she paused with her thoughts. Finally feeling ready to dip all of herself into the salted rose oil she dunked into it and sat for two seconds before grabbing her phone and transcribing the perfect message to him.

“I don’t have any good dad jokes but I’d love to hear one of yours.”
Within seconds the dots were forming at the bottom of the page.
She waited and laughed as soon as the letters had formed to words…

Stay tuned for part 4. Until then.
