What Rest Really Means

By LVA Leave a Comment

what does rest mean to you? Taking a “day off” of your workout routine doesn’t necessarily mean taking a day off of moving your body. The best way to let yourself recover is to do activities that encourage gentle and different movement than what you are used to. After busting out a week of running, hitting a restorative yoga class will do your body good. If you’ve been hitting the mat all week, now would be a good time to get outside and go for a walk. Doing something different than your usual deal is rest for the body and the brain. Personally, I have been kicking it all week (literally. lots of kicking for my training). I am going to be hitting a FREE yoga class with Jo Mary (awesome yogi and teacher) at Lululemon west end tomorrow. Barre Bliss is the featured studio of the month. I’d love to have you join me in class. You can meet me over there at 9:30am, but before you pack up your yoga wrap and water bottle, leave me a comment below….I wan to know what kind of activity really means “rest” for you?
