By LVA Leave a Comment

The 25 Workouts in 25 Days Summer Challenge is all about bringing awareness to Amy Clover’s Strong Inside Out Tour.

strong inside out tour

For the next 24 days (while Amy’s campaign is going on) I’m doing my own 10-ish minute workouts in 25 Minneapolis outdoor locations. I invite you to join me.

Click To Find Out How To Play
  • Pick an awesome outdoor location in Minneapolis (or the state you live in).
  • Do 10 minutes of training; ie, running, rollerblading, squats, push ups, speed walking hills, dips, mountain climbers, & burpees.
  • Post a pic of your workout spot on FB, Twitter, or Instagram with the following hashtags #siotour #25workoutsin25days.
  • Commit to your challenge by donating to Amy’s campaign here. Every amount helps her get the funds needed to have a successful tour.
  • If you can’t get a workout in every day, NO WORRIES! Post pics when you do a workout using the hashtags above and know that your donation is going to an amazing cause!

I’ll be posting here on the blog as well as pics to my FB page, Twitter, & Instagram. Follow along to see my workout spots and spread the love.

WORKOUT TWO @ LYNNHURST PARK

day two lynnhurst park home

6 am bootcamp at Lynnhurst park was quiet. Just one lone/brave participant and so I teamed up with Hugh and did the workout with him. If you’re one of my students then you know this was a special occasion. I’m fond of yelling out orders and motivations and pretty much never actually do the workouts I teach aside from some demo-ing of exercises. It was fun for both of us and I think it pushed Hugh to bust it out and work harder too. 🙂

  • 40 push ups ~ 40 tricep dips ~ 40 bench squats
  • 1 loop run
  • 30 push ups ~ 30 tricep dips ~ 30 bench squats

  • 20 push ups ~ 20 tricep dips ~ 20 bench squats

The strength portion took us about 12 minutes (with the loop runs it was about 18 minutes)

day two Lynnhurst park workout

Lynnhurst is a fun location and I LOVE doing the loop run because it’s fast and short- my favorite kind of running. The weather was perfect but both of us were eyeing the kiddie pool after we were through and thinking a quick dip would be refreshing. Instead I made him finish up with some abdominal exercises while I watched and barked out the orders. The best part of all of this was that I knocked out day two of the challenge AND taught a class at the same time. Total efficiency!

Verdict after day 2: It definitely goes faster and is more fun doing the workout with a buddy. Raring for day 3 and workin’ on finding a new friend to play with me.

Did you workout today? Tell me about it in the comments below!

xoxo, LVA-
