For 25 days (while Amy’s campaign is going on) I’m doing my own 10-ish minute workouts in 25 Minneapolis outdoor locations. I invite you to join me.
WORKOUT NINE @ THREE PONDS PARK
Time spent with my wonderful family is the most precious of all my time spent. I don’t do as much of it as I’d like but when my whole family gets together we laugh, love, and squabble with the best of them.
This evening I got to spend time with my aunt Jean, in from Washington, and everyone was there ‘cept for my sis Carrie and her fam, and my hubby Matt (we missed you).
We had some chillax time, but I also had in the back of my mind that I needed to get in workout #9 so I carted my nephew and nieces off to the park for a spin on the swings and to find a bench + fresh air for the workout below.
- 45 seconds of left leg bench step ups
- 45 seconds of push ups
- 45 seconds of right leg bench step ups
- 45 seconds of push ups
- 45 seconds of fast legs on a bench, left side only
- 45 seconds of tricep dips with a hip lift
- 45 seconds of fast legs on a bench, right side only
- 45 seconds of tricep dips with a hip lift
- 45 seconds of plank twists
- 45 seconds of double crunches
- 45 seconds of plank twists
- 45 seconds of toe touches
Total time 9 minutes (including a lot of answering to…”Lisa, what are you doing now?” coming from the kiddos).
After I finished I raced Pru around the park and she won (I was running and she was on her bike so…only fair) then we shot videos and pics they wanted to look at, they got pushed (higher, higher) on the swings and then we headed back to nana and bumpa’s place.
Verdict after day 9: There’s never an excuse to skip my 10 minute workout…even with some rascals hanging out with me. In fact, they made it that much more fun.
