I admit it. I have always wanted to be a super heroine and save the world from suffering. Rather than a lair I would reside in a penthouse in the tallest building in the city of my imagination and instead of a “bat signal” the commissioner would just HeyTell me when things got bad and I would beam my way over to break up the fighting, share compassion, understanding, and help everyone see that we all need to heal with love and laughter.
After all, I am pretty sure that is my super power talent. Easy loving, easy laughter.
This is how love and laughter works in your life…
The more of it you have, the easier it is, because the less you want to snap at the cranky cashier, cut people off in traffic, say something mean to a good friend who has always been there for you, or berate yourself for eating that slice of carmel pie (yeah the one I just ate while writing this post). When you let love and laughter into your life you ease your suffering. You know…the suffering you created. Yeah, that suffering which resides in your mind.
Love and laughter live in your heart.
The more you live here the less you feel you need to be perfect or even save the world for that matter. However, the more you will do what you need to do (for the evolution of your soul) to offer yourself and your gifts to the world in your own unique way.
For me, love and laughter are tools to live out my mission of igniting passion, empowering action, and defending the spirit of the dream.
I will never give up on being a heroine and saving the world, but sometimes it feels so massive that I need to remember to use my own tools. To love more. wider. fuller. greater. To laugh more. louder. deeper. bigger. Then I feel better. When I do this I remember that the first step to saving the world from suffering is saving myself.
And after that ah-ha I dance. Just dance.
What is your killer skill/tool/talent that you use to save yourself and the world from suffering? How do you impact positive change in the world? Share in the comments how you are a super hero/ine to all of us.
