Hey are you awake?
I feel like I kinda sleep-walked through the beginning of this summer. This playlist woke me up. I realized I was so invested in falling in love again that I forgot I’d rather be feeling in love again than falling.
WHY I DON’T WANT TO FALL IN LOVE
Falling is accidental and unintentional. We use the phrase so often. “Fall in love”. Why do we want to fall? I’d rather know who I am and where I want to go, how I want to feel, and intentionally spend time with people I FEEL in love with rather than falling into something.
WHY I WANT TO FEEL IN LOVE
Because I know that I get to feel in love with lots of things: my friends, my family, my life, and maybe someone new that I met. I’m not gonna fall anymore. I’m gonna feel. I want to wake up and be present. Presence isn’t falling, it’s feeling. And trusting what you feel.
HOW THIS PLAYLIST WILL HELP YOU FEEL AND WAKE UP
Lot’s of awesome lyrics to remind you to pay attention to how you feel and stay mindful of falling. Lot’s of awesome beats to wake you up, get you dancing and FEELING your life.
A few of my favorites from this month’s list:
Crowd Goes Wild- Bien
“Feel the heat. Feel the beat. Drop the beat”. You will feel this song. And who doesn’t love when you walk in and the crowd goes wild?
Waking Up Again- Emily Hearn
The namesake of this month’s playlist. I listened to this one over and over. “When you’re gone, you’re so far gone you don’t remember what you want in life”. This is so true. And waking up again is remembering that what I want is to feel love, not fall into it. What I want to feel is enthusiasm and excitement. I want to wake up and plan my day around love and joy. And I get to choose this for myself.
This Could Be Love- Quinn Erwin
“I’ve got a feeling this could be love”. It’s all about feeling not falling.
The theme this month is about waking up. I woke up to the realization that falling in love isn’t my desired path. Feeling in love is what I want. This playlist might wake you up to something else that you need to experience. I know one thing…music can wake you up to amazing realizations and I hope you use this playlist to discover whatever it is you need to wake up to again.
xx, Lisa-
